Magnolia was created back in late 2020, when this drawing was first posted on my art Instagram! (top photo)At the time, there was no intention for any story; it was just a simple, random drawing. A cute frog knight, now known as Rocky! I had then drawn and posted another similar character (bottom photo), who is now known as Sebastian in my story. Nothing had come from either post for months, but I had then sparked the idea to create a story with them after looking through a much older story I had started years prior, that holds similar concepts and characters to that of Magnolia.Now, for the past four years, I've been slowly developing the story, fleshing out characters, and world building.My first goal for this story is to create something memorable and impactful for those who consume it. It is intended to be a lighthearted story visually, with deeper, darker topics beneath the surface.My second--and more ambitious--goal, is to one day bring this story to life. Whether it's through a video game, animated series, or graphic novel. Sebastian is the youngest, but seemingly the only, assassin of Magnolia. He is known for his precise and quick swordsmanship, as well as his swiftness. He initially had taken the test to become a royal guard, but princess Ophelia had sought out other ambitions for him.He is the adoptive brother of Rocky, and is best friends with Mallory. While Rocky is younger than the other two, the trio enjoy almost any and every adventures together--whether its as intense as battling brutes, or as laxed as reading in a library, digging their noses into books about the past.

Sebastian has little to no memory about his early childhood. He was taken in by Rocky's parents when they found him on the edges of their marsh town of Perianth, alone and unconscious.

She also tends to be the "bad" influence to the brother duo, bringing them to places they're not allowed into, and being the one to first introduce Sebastian to alcohol.

Flood doesn't speak, but seems to understand the world around him just as much as Nova does.Nova was born, and resides in the forests outside of Magnolia with his father, Agni. He had lost his mother shortly after his birth from a brute attack. He has no memory of his mother, but the burden lays heavy on his father, straining their relationship.

When Rocky and Nova meet, they instantly become best friends, as they share a similar energy, and Nova doesn't interact with many people his age while traveling around.

While she's aware he is her assassin, she doesn't take the situation as seriously as he'd expect, even attempting to befriend him.

However, after committing an act worth banishing, he and his wife were forcibly removed from the kingdom, and made to live within the forests surrounding it.While living in the forests, Agni and his wife, Isa, had their son, Nova. A month or so after his birth, the family was attacked by large brute, killing Isa, and leaving Agni heavily wounded. After the incident, the brute left them alone.

Agni still lives with his son in the forest, but has Nova work within the kingdom to have easier means of surviving. Agni still suffers from immense physical and mental pain from the event.
